MUSIC & CONCERTS

We performed 9 concerts in 2011 - you can listen to our sampler track of live recordings below.....



We play an extensive range of music for concert band, from classical arrangements to modern, and from popular music to marches.

As part of the Dulwich Festival, we gave a Concert for Children on 14th May 2011, at All Saints Church, Lovelace Road, Dulwich. We were delighted to have Brenda Blethyn as our guest narrator. The programme included:
  • A Night on Bare Mountain
  • Baby Elephant Walk
  • Peter & the Wolf, narrated by Brenda Blethyn
  • The Young Prince & Princess
  • Jamaican Rumba with percussion participation from the children
  • Highlights from the Pink Panther
  • Highlights from Oliver!
We also performed a Russian Concert at St Matthew's Church at the beginning of April and played for the runners of the London Marathon later that month. In June we played at Lambeth Palace Gardens and in July at Clapham Common Bandstand.

In December we performed a programme of Christmas & Winter Music at St Matthew's Church for the local community, as well as a Christingle event at Myatts Field Bandstand and Christmas Carols at Trafalgar Square in aid of the Children's Society with our sister band the South London Jazz Orchestra.
